Technological University of the Shannon

Formerly LIT, the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS), Ireland’s newest technological university, spreads across six campuses and four counties across the Midlands and Midwest of Ireland, and hosts over 14,000 students.

The region offers breath-taking scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland. TUS’ global industry partners engage in ongoing program review to ensure the content, technologies and learning outcomes for students align with their skill-needs, producing ‘job-ready’ graduates.

TUS has a wide variety of program offerings in the areas of Applied Sciences and Technology, Business and Humanities, Engineering and Built Environment, Art and Design and Health Sciences. All of our programs engage students with industry-led, real-life, problem-based scenarios as an integrated part of the learning. TUS boasts the highest employment rate in the higher education sector outside of Dublin.
Graduates of Colleges Ontario are eligible for a discounted tuition fee of €8,500 per annum (approximately $12,400), as opposed to the international fee of €10,250 (approximately $14,850). We also accept OSAP funding, so students can apply for OSAP and transfer it for their studies in Ireland.

We offer an Early Payment Discount of €1,000 for students who pay their fees in full before 1st May each year. We also offer an Academic Scholarship of €1,000. A student's previous studies are assessed to see whether they meet the equivalent of a 70% average on the Irish education system. If so, the liaison officer assisting you would offer you this scholarship. If your previous grades make you eligible, you will simply need to submit a reference from a previous employer/teacher and a personal statement explaining why you want to come to study in Ireland. TUS is Federal Aid approved. The Federal School Code is 042610.
